commercial

commercial spaces can include hotels, business offices, retail stores, restaurants, lobbies, sports centers, healthcare services, show rooms and other public places. Commercial design usually begins during the planning process with architects and engineers, then designers work with the completed space to add design elements such as furniture and décor based on the company's image. However, commercial spaces experience a different amount of wear and tear compared to residential designs, so sometimes these public places become tired not only visually, but emotionally. For example, a retail space can be more attractive to customers and encourage them to enter a store as well as persuade them to spend more time in there. Another example is to refine a design that reflects a company’s updated corporate image by providing a modern style that conveys it is looking to the future or a vintage design that has a lived in feel that invokes patrons to sink into their seat, enjoy a drink and visit a while. A companies image isn't limited to it’s clients. Fresh color on the walls, flattering lighting, new flooring, a more efficient floor plan and updated bathrooms benefit the employees morale and working environment.
